Looking Forward to Next Year

The school year is winding down and we only have a handful of days left.  As we look forward to the dog days of summer, it is useful to plan ahead for the coming school year as well.  Anyone that plans to participate in athletic activities must have a sports physical every year.  The best time to do this is in the summer.  Contact your health care provider as some do offer free, or reduced price, sports physicals at various times.  Any healthcare provider associated with Regional Health has access to the necessary paperwork for the sports physicals.  I highly recommend that you take care of this over the summer break so your student is ready to jump right in next fall.  Sports physicals are good for one year and must be on file before students can practice or compete.  Even if you or your student is not planning on participating in an activity until the winter or spring season(s), it is still a good idea to get the physical taken care of.

The schedules for next year's activities as they currently exist are posted the middle school activities calendar. Printable schedules will be posted soon under the information tab on my website.  Generally practices for fall activities begin the first day of school, but there may be Impact testing for concussions and other informational activities prior to the first day.

Thank you for all of your support throughout this school year.  Have a great summer!
