SMS Activities Banquet

The Spearfish Middle School Booster Club is hosting the First Annual SMS Activities Banquet this year.  It will be held on Tuesday, May 7^th at 6:00 pm in the SMS gym.  All students who participated in any SMS activity this year and their families are invited to attend.  Please join us in celebrating all of the hard work our students, coaches, and advisors put in this year and in building community within Spartan activities. 

The SMS Booster Club will be providing the main dish and drinks.  Families are asked to bring a dessert or side dish based on the activity in which their student participated in as indicated below.  If your student participated in multiple activities, you are only asked to bring one dish.

Track Changes

The track meet scheduled for this Friday, 4/12/13, at BHSU has been canceled due to the weather forecast and field conditions.  At this time it does not appear this meet will be rescheduled. 

Based on current conditions and the extended weather forecast, we will not be attending the track meet in Lead scheduled for Friday, 4/19.  Instead, weather permitting, we will attend a meet on Thursday, 4/18 in Custer.

Constellation Rescheduled!

Due to the weather, tonight's performance of the hit SMS drama club production Constellation has be rescheduled to 7 pm Thursday, April 11th at the Mathews Opera House.  Please come out and enjoy the show.  I was fortunate enough to attend last night's performance, and I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

The inaugural performance by the Spearfish Middle School drama club will be held this Monday and Tuesday.  They will be performing an original composition by director Cory Heidelberger, Constellation.  The students have been working hard for 3 months now, and are ready to perform.

Join me at the Mathews Opera house on Monday and Tuesday at 7 pm.  Admission is a free will donation.  Please come out and show your support for these hard working 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.  Bonus idea: attend the spaghetti supper to support the SHS Constitutional Government class tomorrow and then take in the play.  It's the ultimate date night.
